A little sneak peek at daily life on the Bad Rabbit farm

Follow us at @badrabbithomestead for a daily dose of the farmy side of things

The Bad Rabbit flower fields are a 1/2 are of annual and a 1/4 acre of perennial flowers. We also grow vines, veggies, fruits and berries which all get incorporated into our wedding work. We try to use as much from the gardens as possible for each event. Dahlias, zinnias and marigolds are some of our favorite things to grow but we tailor as much as possible to the weddings that are already booked come planting season!

We keep lots of critters here on the farm; Chickens, geese, game fowl, ducks and sheep all help us in some way during the growing season. Our geese and sheep are fantastic little weeders, our chickens and game fowl keep the Japanese beetles and ticks away and the ducks are excellent snail eaters and chasers of grasshoppers. They also all add manure to our garden beds. Together they keep the garden pest free (ish) and fed! They also offer great companionship, entertainment and enjoyment while we work.

And of course we get lots of eggs which we sell locally and enjoy ourselves!
